Am Anfang hatte ich Probleme das die Animationen mit Python und Spyder auch animiert wurden.
Folgende Einstellung hat dann das Ergebnis gebracht:
In Spyder im Menüpunkt: Tools --> Preferences --> IPython Console --> dann (rechts auf dem Reiter Grafics) --> von Inline auf Automatic umstellen
In vielen Beispielen ist folgende Import Funktion angegeben:
from matplotlib.animation import FuncAnimation --> dies hatte bei mir auch nicht funktioniert. Die Animation startete erst, als ich umgestellt hatte auf:
from matplotlib import animation
